What a childhood memory!

The original was painted by the German artist Kay Schleusner using paint-knive and high quality Winsor and Newton Artisan oil paints. Their pastosity and three-dimensionality look absolutely stunning.

Kay was born in 1981 and grew up in Berlin for most of his youth. As a child he eagerly took to drawing and painting. Later he attended painting classes and experimented with different materials like crayons, aquarell, oil. Textile art and cross-stiching were explored. Later he ventured into sketching and digital art aswell as live drawing and photography. After his Abitur he travelled to New Zealand and lived and worked as a care-giver in a house for intellectually disabled people in Auckland. He studied Horticulture and Landscape Architecture und visited many countries of Asia and other parts of the world during his travels. Today Kay lives in the very centre of Germany together with his young family and has found art as his daily...
